Abstract
Intelligence dehazing and color restoration methods for underwater images are novel research fields that have great potential to help developers better explore the underwater environment. These methods used to deal with the degradation like strong absorption, scattering, color distortion, and noise from the artificial light source to improve the visibility and color balance. With the rapid development of image processing, underwater image processing opens up many new research directions.The existing methods for underwater image enhancement and restoration were introduced and the common problems in these methods were summarized. This paper developed fusion based Dehazing method (FDM) for under water super-resolution restoration. Its preserve the contrast of the underwater image, fusion based contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization, and wavelet transform methods will be developed.
