Article Processing Charges (APC)

The International Journal of Technology Research and Management (IJTRM) follows an open-access publishing model, which means that every published article is made freely available to readers worldwide without subscription fees or paywalls. To support the costs associated with editorial management, peer-review coordination, plagiarism screening, website hosting, publication processing, and long-term preservation of scholarly content, the journal applies a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC).

The APC is payable by authors only after the manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication.

IJTRM is committed to complete transparency regarding publication charges. There are no hidden fees, and authors are not required to make any payment before acceptance.

When Do You Pay?

• No Submission Fee: Submitting your manuscript for editorial consideration and peer review is completely free.
• No Review Fee: Authors are not charged during the peer-review process.
• Payment Only After Acceptance: The APC becomes payable only after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has received formal acceptance for publication.

This policy ensures that authors are not required to pay publication charges for manuscripts that have not been accepted.

What the APC Covers

The Article Processing Charge contributes toward the actual costs involved in operating a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal, including:

• Manuscript handling and editorial management
• Peer-review coordination and reviewer communication
• Plagiarism screening and originality checks
• Copyediting and formatting of accepted manuscripts
• Website hosting and open-access publishing infrastructure
• DOI assignment, where applicable
• Long-term digital archiving and preservation
• Publication metadata preparation
• Online article publication
• Publication certificate issuance, where applicable

Payment Methods

Authors will receive official payment instructions after final acceptance of their manuscript. Payment methods may include:

• UPI
• Online Payment Gateway
• Other officially approved payment methods

Authors are advised to make payment only through official payment instructions communicated by the journal. Sensitive banking or payment details should be provided securely and should not necessarily be displayed on a public-facing webpage.

Fee Waivers and Concessions

IJTRM recognizes that publication charges may present financial difficulties for some researchers, particularly students, early-career researchers, and authors from economically disadvantaged regions.

Where applicable, partial or full APC waivers may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Authors seeking a waiver should submit their request to the Editorial Office before making payment. Approval of any waiver remains at the discretion of the journal and does not influence editorial or peer-review decisions.

Important Notes

• APCs are generally non-refundable once payment has been processed and publication production has begun.
• In exceptional circumstances where the journal is unable to publish an accepted manuscript due to an error attributable solely to the journal, the Editorial Office may review the matter and determine an appropriate resolution.
• Payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic quality, originality, relevance, ethical compliance, and peer-review recommendations.
• APC rates may be reviewed periodically. The charges displayed on this page represent the current publication fees unless otherwise announced.
• Authors are encouraged to confirm the applicable APC with the Editorial Office before making any payment.

Transparency of Publication Charges

IJTRM maintains a transparent publication fee policy. Authors will be informed of all applicable charges before payment is requested. No additional or hidden publication charges will be imposed after acceptance unless clearly communicated and agreed upon in advance.

The payment of an APC has no influence on peer review, editorial evaluation, reviewer recommendations, or the final publication decision.
