Archiving Policy

Published research should remain accessible not only today, but for years to come. IJTRM is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published scholarly content. The journal seeks to ensure that articles remain available to readers, researchers, libraries, and institutions well into the future, including in the event of technical disruption, website migration, or other unforeseen circumstances affecting journal operations.

Why Archiving Matters

A journal archive forms an essential part of its academic responsibility. Once an article is published, it becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and may be cited, referenced, reproduced under applicable licensing terms, and used as the basis for future research. Loss of access to published content can disrupt continuity in academic communication and weaken the reliability of the scholarly record.

For this reason, IJTRM maintains archiving and preservation practices designed to support continued accessibility and long-term scholarly use.

Our Archiving Approach

IJTRM maintains digital records of every published article, including full-text files, bibliographic metadata, issue-level information, and related publication records. These materials are preserved independently of routine website updates and content-management changes so that previously published work remains intact and retrievable over time.

The journal may also use external preservation or repository services where formally available. If IJTRM participates in services such as LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, Portico, institutional repositories, or other recognized digital preservation systems, the relevant service details should be stated clearly on this page.

What Is Preserved

  • Full-text articles in their final published format.
  • Bibliographic metadata, including author names, article titles, abstracts, keywords, publication dates, and DOI information where applicable.
  • Volume and issue-level archive records.
  • Article URLs and publication identifiers where available.
  • Corrections, corrigenda, errata, expressions of concern, and retraction notices issued after publication.
  • Supplementary files and associated publication materials where applicable.

Author and Reader Access to Archives

Previously published volumes and issues remain accessible through the journal's archive section in accordance with the journal's open-access model. Readers may browse and access past publications without subscription barriers, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Authors may also preserve copies of their published work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic websites, and other scholarly platforms in accordance with the journal's self-archiving and licensing policies.

Continuity Commitment

In the unlikely event that IJTRM discontinues publication or its website becomes permanently unavailable, the journal will make reasonable efforts to preserve previously published scholarly content and maintain continued access for the academic community.

Such measures may include continued hosting, migration to a new publishing platform, transfer to an institutional repository, deposit with an archiving partner, or another appropriate long-term preservation solution.

Integrity of the Scholarly Record

Published articles are treated as part of the permanent scholarly record. Articles are not ordinarily removed or altered after publication. Where changes are necessary, the journal may issue a correction, erratum, expression of concern, or retraction notice, which will remain linked to the original publication wherever technically possible.

Metadata Preservation

IJTRM preserves essential metadata associated with each published article to support discoverability, citation accuracy, indexing, and long-term retrieval.

Preserved metadata may include:

  • Article title
  • Author names and affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Publication date
  • Volume and issue number
  • Page range or article number
  • DOI, where assigned
  • Article URL
  • Licensing information

Policy Updates

This Archiving Policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect improvements in digital preservation practices, repository standards, metadata management, publishing technologies, and long-term access strategies.

Any significant changes to this policy will be published on the official IJTRM website.
