Submission Guidelines
Before submitting your manuscript to IJTRM, please review the guidelines below carefully. Following these instructions helps avoid unnecessary delays and ensures your paper moves smoothly through initial screening and into peer review.
General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original and unpublished, and not currently under review at any other journal or conference.
- Papers must be written in clear, grammatically correct English.
- Submissions should strictly follow the official IJTRM article template, available on the Download Article Template page.
- Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- All submissions are checked for plagiarism before proceeding to peer review.
Manuscript Structure
A complete manuscript should generally include the following sections in the order given below:
- Title – Clear, concise, and accurately reflecting the content of the paper.
- Author Details – Full name(s), designation, institutional affiliation, and corresponding author's email address.
- Abstract – A summary of approximately 150–250 words covering the objective, methodology, key findings, and conclusion.
- Keywords – Four to six relevant keywords listed after the abstract.
- Introduction – Background, context, research problem, and objective of the study.
- Literature Review – Relevant existing research and a clear explanation of how the present work builds upon, extends, or differs from previous studies.
- Methodology – Clear explanation of the research design, methods, tools, datasets, experimental procedures, analytical techniques, or approach used.
- Results and Discussion – Findings presented clearly with appropriate analysis, interpretation, comparison, tables, figures, or statistical evidence where applicable.
- Conclusion – A concise summary of the key outcomes, significance, limitations, and potential directions for future work.
- Acknowledgment – If applicable.
- References – Complete list of all sources cited in the manuscript, formatted according to the journal's prescribed citation style.
Formatting Requirements
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt for body text unless otherwise specified in the official template.
- Line Spacing: 1.5 or as specified in the article template.
- Margins: Standard margins as defined in the journal template.
- Page Limit: Authors should follow the maximum page count specified for the relevant manuscript category.
- Tables and Figures: Numbered sequentially, provided with clear captions, and referenced appropriately within the manuscript text.
- Equations: Numbered sequentially and formatted using standard mathematical notation.
Reference and Citation Style
- All references must be complete, accurate, and properly cited within the manuscript.
- Authors must follow the citation and referencing style specified in the official IJTRM article template.
- Every source cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and every source listed in the references must be cited within the manuscript.
- Authors should avoid excessive self-citation, citation manipulation, or inclusion of unrelated or irrelevant references.
Author Declarations
Depending on the nature of the manuscript, authors may be required to provide the following declarations:
- A statement confirming that the manuscript is original and has not been plagiarized.
- A Conflict of Interest declaration, where applicable.
- Confirmation that all listed authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript.
- Details of ethical approval for studies involving human participants, animals, sensitive personal information, or regulated research, where applicable.
- Funding information, where relevant.
- Data availability or supporting material statements, where applicable.
File Naming and Submission
- Save the manuscript using a clear file naming format, such as AuthorName_PaperTitle.docx.
- Ensure that the manuscript file is free from tracked changes, unresolved comments, or unnecessary hidden metadata before submission.
- Double-check that all author names, affiliations, designations, ORCID details where applicable, and email addresses are accurate.
- Corrections to author information after acceptance may delay the publication process.
Common Causes of Submission Delays
- Failure to use the official IJTRM manuscript template.
- Missing or inconsistent author information.
- Incomplete or incorrectly formatted references.
- Abstracts that do not accurately represent the manuscript.
- Manuscripts exceeding the prescribed page or word limit.
- Missing ethical or conflict-of-interest declarations where required.
- Submission of a manuscript that has already been published or is simultaneously under review elsewhere.
Before You Submit – Quick Checklist
- ✔ Manuscript follows the official IJTRM template.
- ✔ Abstract is within the recommended 150–250 word range.
- ✔ Keywords are relevant and correctly positioned.
- ✔ All manuscript sections are complete and logically structured.
